I just completed two months as your new chief of police. During that time our department has made progress on many fronts and I’ve been very busy, including meeting many of the village residents, both individually and in groups. I would like to continue this process by scheduling another open community meeting for Thursday, March 30th at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Village DPW building.
In order to allow people adequate time to discuss any relevant issues of concern I will limit the size of this meeting to twenty individuals. However, rest assured that everyone who is interested will have the opportunity to attend a future community meeting and I remain available to anyone who has any specific concerns related to public safety.
Please contact Fara Gaertner, the Village Administrator, if you are interested in attending this meeting. You may email Ms. Gaertner at fgaertner@vowny.org or call (516)626-0800. If you contact the Village and find that the space for this meeting has been filled, your name will be placed on a list for the next meeting that I will be scheduling in the near future, and you will be contacted so you may attend. Please feel free to forward this announcement to ensure that it is widely distributed throughout the village.
I look forward to meeting with you all later this month.
Sincerely,
Stuart Cameron,
Chief of Police
